Job Overview
The District Women & Child Welfare (WD&CW) Department, Kurnool, Andhra Pradesh, has officially invited applications from eligible female candidates for various positions at child care institutions under the Mission Vatsalya scheme. These positions are aimed at strengthening the care, protection, and education of vulnerable children residing in childcare homes at Peddapadu and Pattikonda.
The appointments are strictly contract/outsourcing/part-time basis, ensuring professional engagement while promoting women’s participation in welfare services. Selected candidates will play a direct role in the development, safety, education, and well-being of children, making these roles both socially significant and professionally rewarding.

Eligibility Criteria
1. Social Worker-cum-Early Childhood Educator
- Bachelor’s / Postgraduate in Social Work / Psychology / Early Childhood Care & Development (recognized university).
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in child protection/women welfare sector (at least 1 year with children).
- Preference: Experience with WD&CW Dept. / NGOs in adoption-related work.
- Must be proficient in English & Telugu communication (written & spoken).
- Should have MS-Office & internet skills.
2. Ayah
- Minimum 10th Class pass/fail.
- Prior experience in childcare support/attendant work preferred.
- Physical fitness required.
3. Cook
- 10th Class pass/fail with 3 years cooking experience in institutions.
- Must produce a fitness certificate.
4. Helper-cum-Night Watchman (Women)
- Minimum 7th Class pass/fail.
- 3 years’ experience in household duties/childcare institutions.
- Physical fitness certificate required.
5. Part-Time Educator
- B.Sc/B.Ed (Maths & Science) or B.A with B.Ed (English/Social Studies).
- 3 years’ teaching experience.
6. Art & Craft cum Music Teacher
- Diploma in Embroidery, Tailoring, Handicrafts, Music (recognized institute/university).
- 3 years’ experience in relevant fields.
7. Physical Instructor cum Yoga Teacher
- Degree/Diploma in Physical Education Training.
- 3 years’ experience in private/govt institutions.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Social Worker-cum-Educator: Provide counseling, facilitate adoptions, maintain linkages with police/NGOs, design child welfare programs, and ensure early education for children below 6 years.
- Ayah: Assist in daily care of children, including feeding, bathing, clothing, and maintaining hygienic living spaces.
- Cook: Prepare timely and nutritious meals (50–70 children) as per menu, with special arrangements on holidays/festivals.
- Helper-cum-Night Watchman: Support kitchen work, ensure clean premises, safeguard children during night hours.
- Part-Time Educator: Conduct academic classes in Maths, Science, English, and Social subjects; focus on spoken English.
- Art & Craft cum Music Teacher: Train children in creative skills, handicrafts, painting, music, and cultural activities.
- Yoga/Physical Instructor: Lead physical training, yoga sessions, and sports activities daily, ensuring children’s fitness.
