AP CWC & JJB Recruitment 2025 – Overview
The Government of Andhra Pradesh, Department of Women Development & Child Welfare, has released a district-wise recruitment notification for:
Chairperson – Child Welfare Committee (CWC)
Members – Child Welfare Committee (CWC)
Social Worker Members – Juvenile Justice Board (JJB)
These roles fall under the Juvenile Justice (Care and Protection of Children) Act, 2015, and are vital for safeguarding children’s rights.
Applications are invited online only, and the last date to apply is 22 December 2025.

The notification covers all 26 districts of Andhra Pradesh.

Child Welfare Committee (CWC):
1 Chairperson
4 Members

🎓 Eligibility Criteria

🔹 Common Eligibility (Applicable to Both CWC & JJB)
Every applicant must satisfy ALL of these:
✔ Must be a resident of Andhra Pradesh
✔ Age: 35 to 65 years
✔ Must apply online only on the official WDCW portal
Applications sent by post / email / WhatsApp will be rejected (Page 1).
✔ Only ONE application per candidate
✔ Candidate must choose ONE district only
✔ Must upload all documents in the required format

🎓 Educational Qualification
Preferably a degree in:
Child Psychology
Psychiatry
Sociology
Health Sciences
Education
Law
🧑🔧 Experience Required
Minimum 7 years of experience in:
Working with children, or
Education or health or welfare activities, or
Practicing professional in psychology, psychiatry, sociology or law
❌ Not Eligible (Disqualification Rules)
The applicant MUST NOT:
Have violated human rights or child rights
Have been convicted of offences involving moral turpitude
Have been removed/dismissed from Government service
Be employed in Govt / Govt institutions
Have prior allegations of child abuse / child labour
Hold full-time positions that affect availability
Be an active member of a political party
Be insolvent (bankrupt)
Work with or be associated with Child Care Institutions
Be part of NGOs that create conflict of interest

3-year tenure per term
Maximum 2 terms permitted

A candidate cannot apply if they:
Have child rights violation history
Are convicted for moral offences
Have been dismissed from Govt service
Are employed in Govt institutions
Hold full-time posts restricting availability
Are part of management of any Child Care Institution
Are affiliated to any NGO receiving foreign contributions
Are associated with NGOs implementing the JJ Act
Hold political positions
Are insolvent
Have relatives in NGOs associated with child rescue/rehabilitation
🕒 Term of Service
3 years per term
Maximum 2 terms allowed
A Member can be upgraded to Chairperson later
🧭 Selection Process
As per the notification:
1️⃣ Scrutiny of Applications
All applications will be screened for eligibility, age, qualifications, and conflicts of interest.
2️⃣ Shortlisting
Shortlisted candidates will receive interview details through email/SMS.
3️⃣ Interview
Conducted by the District Level Selection Committee.
Focus on child rights knowledge, experience, and suitability.
4️⃣ Final Selection & Posting
Merit-based selection
Posting will be in the district applied for
5️⃣ Training
Selected members must undergo mandatory training on JJ Act procedures.
💰 Honorarium / Salary Details
CWC & JJB posts are not regular government jobs.
They receive honorarium / sitting allowance as fixed by the AP Government.
Approximate monthly range (varies by updates):
₹20,000 – ₹35,000 per month equivalent
Additional allowances for travel during field visits
